Taking a break from unpaid or informal caring responsibilities is important. It allows you as the Carer to take time out to look after your own health and wellbeing, and can help prevent you from becoming tired, stressed or run down.
Day and Nightcare Assistance offers a “care for carers” service to help people who care for others have a much needed break.
This service is designed to replace the care that you would normally provide, and can be tailored on an individual basis.
The Day and Nightcare Assistance “ Care for Carers” service is both flexible and comprehensive, and could be either a temporary or regular arrangement; we aim to meet every need.
Temporary care could be for one-off situations such as allowing you to attend an appointment, have some time with friends or take a short break or holiday.
Regular arrangements aim to give you the peace of mind knowing that at certain times of each week or month, one of our fully trained Care Workers will be present to give you time to do whatever you would like to do, including catching up on your own sleep!
“Care for Carers” visits can be arranged from one hour upwards and should you decide to take a much-needed holiday, we can arrange live-in care to give you peace of mind knowing that someone is there day and night
